Bend, Oregon Birth Photography for Parker Lee
Parker Lee came a bit earlier than expected, but she was most welcome here. Her parents are great friends of ours and also happen to work with us as wedding videographers (you can find Mike Hiatt Media’s website here). They were the very first people to meet our son in the hospital, and we shot each other’s weddings, so you could say we’ve had tons of great memories made together over the past few years. I was honored to be invited to shoot the birth of their daughter, Parker Lee, at St. Charles Family Birthing Center. It was my very first c-section, so I was a little bit nervous I would accidentally get in the way, but after a pep talk from a fellow birth photographer, I was confident I could navigate it!
Parker’s mom Jess was calm and extremely brave during the entire process. Given Parker was coming 5 weeks early and via c-section, I was amazed at her ability to stay cool under pressure and enjoy the birth. Mike, her husband, was a supportive presence and an excited and proud papa. The entire staff at St. Charles was amazing, it was such an incredible thing to witness!
