Sunriver Resort Family Reunion Session for the Fosters
The Foster family hired me to shoot their 50th wedding anniversary reunion session at Sunriver Resort in Central Oregon last fall. I loved working with this sweet family who kept me laughing the whole session. When families hire a photographer for their extended family session, I think the shot they are most looking forward to getting back and printing is the big family shot (like the one above). My favorite shots, though, are always the ones showing the unique relationships between the individuals in the family. For extended family sessions, I always make a point to try to document tiny candid moments of all of the little relationships within the larger family. I hope you can see that in this collection.
This session was shot at the Great Hall in Sunriver Resort. The grassy area in the back of the hall is perfect for any size of family and always has pretty light at sunset. It’s also convenient for most families to park and restrooms are available nearby. For most families, this ends up being the spot I suggest, especially if they have little ones or older family members who aren’t up for a bigger adventure. There are absolutely some great spots within a short drive of Sunriver Resort if you want a more dramatic backdrop, but I can guide you through that when we are planning your session.
